There was a little girl. She was only three and a half years old, but her mother always tried to make her daughter behave in a very decent manner. One day the family went to a party. At the party the girl shouted, “Mommy, I want to go to the toilet.” This made a lot of people pay attention to them, and the mother felt quite embarrassed. After coming home she told her daughter, when she wanted to go to the toilet, she should say, “I want to sing.”
Some days later, the girl’s grandfather came to visit them. She really liked her grandfather. At night, she slept with her grandfather. The grandfather told her a story to make her sleep. After some hours, she woke up and said, “Grandpa, I want to sing.” The grandpa was afraid of walking up the others at midnight if she began singing,...

John has a pet dog named Sunny. He loves him very much. He ever told others that sunny was one of his family.
One midnight, John’s house was on fire suddenly. John was sleeping and didn’t know what was happening. At that time, Sunny noticed the fire and woke up John. John called the police. Soon the fire was put out by the police.
Now John often says to others, “The dog is really my good friend. In the thick smoke and big fire, he could run out of the house first, but he didn’t. No matter how dangerous it is, he first always thinks of his owner.”
Today more and more dogs are wandering in the street. Many people don’t want to feed their dogs because they move to another place. Some people throw their dogs because they are ill. Even some people say that...

    Dear students,
On Sunday morning, we’ll have a picnic at Xiang Mountain. Everyone who will go there must obey those rules.
Firstly, we’ll meet at 8:30 am at our school gate. Everyone should arrive there before 8:00 am. It will take us forty minutes to get there. You must be on time.
Secondly, every student should wear sports shoes and thinner clothes. The sunglasses and a hat are necessary.
Thirdly, the students should bring some fast food or snacks. We’ll have our picnic on the top of the mountain. You should not take fire or hot food. But taking photos in the nature is fine. After eating, we should clean the ground and do not throw the wastes on the floor, or you’ll be fined.
Lastly, safety is the most important. No one can...

Does anyone know, off hand, what it would take to get certified in secondary education?  I do have an active elementary education teaching certificate in PA.  Am also certified in mid-level mathematics, mid-level English, and mid-level social studies.  The problem is I have been out of the education field for awhile working in another field and am afraid that I do not know the new trends, teaching techniques etc.  I was thinking if I went back to school and got updated on the trends etc it would be easier to land a job.  So I guess what I am asking is if I already have a BA and also have completed education courses and received my cert in grad school what do you think it would take to get certified in secondary education in any field such as language arts or social studies?  Many classes?...

Hello! I am a Year 9 student at a British school in the UAE. I want to study Economics or PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) at a British university (I want to apply to Durham and York, and maybe to Oxford too) and then go to Law School in the United States.

I have been reading some books about GCSE courses and I made a list of skills that I will need for Economics/PPE/Law and I think I am choosing the following subjects:

    Mandatory:
ENGLISH I am taking both English Language and English Literature (Skills: Communication Skills, Creative Ability, Emotional Intelligence Skills, Citizenship Skills).
MATHEMATICS (Skills: Memory and Recall Skills, Mathematical Skills).
SCIENCE I am taking both Biology and Physics (Skills: Attention to Detail, Physical Ability, Memory and Recall Skills,...

Last year, in 10th grade I got a 75 on my geometry regents. I'm starting to think about colleges now (preferably upstate new york) and I was just wondering if colleges wouldnt want me because of that grade. I have also gotten an 80 on algebra, 82 on bio, and 83 on earth science. However, my World History grade was a 97. (im not strong in science or math) I want to go to albany, oneonta, new paltz, brockport, oswego, potsdam, or plattsburgh. Would these colleges mind it as much as other things?

It's the one subject I can't do, no matter how hard I try. I would be an honor student if I was good at it. It frustrates me and I just hate doing it!!!!! Ideas?
