    ...pre school - age and payments..? Hi All,
    My daughter is 3.5 yrs old in a daycare. can you please let me know from what age she goes to school, from what age to pre-school? until what age can she stay in daycare?
    what does NOT cost? only school? pre school and daycare cost the same? smae # of hours/day spent in pre-school as in daycare? THANKS.

    Canada is pretty big and each province has different policies and within the province there may be differences between school districts. The easiest thing would be for you to call the school or school board and ask them.

    Your child can start kindergarten at age 4. You should look into registering her now. Also there are probably day cares in the area that will look after her before and after school if you need them. If affording daycare is a problem for you, you can apply for subsidy (the governement will pay a portion of your child care costs based on what your income is) but it can take up to a year to actually recieve the "ok" for funding, so if you need it.. apply now.
